As the world's largest shopping mall and entertainment store, there are more than a few opportunities to indulge in some retail therapy at the Dubai Mall. But if shopping is not your bag, there are a whole host of other activities on offer there.
Standing at 830 meters, Burj Khalifa is the planet's tallest skyscraper. Visitors are able to ascend the tower and get an unbeatable view.
It's a theme park inside the mall!
Originally designed to help people conquer their fear of flying, this flight simulator can also be great fun for pretending to fly the high skies.
With water shooting 150 meters into the air, these fountains - located just outside Dubai Mall - are a true sight to behold.
If you crave a break from a full day of shopping, there's an ice rink there to provide a cool escape!
If you're a bargain hunter, the best time for deals at Dubai Mall is right after the holiday season. If you prefer less crowds and want to take your time window shopping then plan your visit for another time of year!
There are more than 1,200 different stores - some unique to Dubai, some from other parts of the world, such as London's Harrods. Enjoy and go wild!
There are some food courts in the Dubai Mall, but no restaurants - if you fancy a sit-down meal then head over to its' sister mall, Souk Al Bahar, to grab a bite.
The best view over the city is indisputably from the Burj Khalifa tour, easily accessible from the Dubai Mall.
There was great communication throughout the process of excursion. The tour guide picked up my wife and I promptly from our hotel and took us to the dessert destination. We started off with the dessert tour (please advice that you shouldn't either eat too much or go on an empty stomach as the motions of the car can make you feel sick). The driver was attended enough to ensure all passengers in the car are happy. after the tour we had a BBQ lunch and a few traditional dancer shows to keep us entertained. we also had the chance of smoking shisha (if your into that and handling falcons, which was rather interesting. followed by camel riding and pictures with the baby camels. Overall this was very much value for money. and I most certainly would recommend this again. I have to give an extra thank you to Iklaq who was the tour guide who looked after all passengers including myself who were in his vehicle :)
Overall it was amazing experience - we went on a ride around the lake about 10mph (16km/h), because we went at night time the lights and scene looked amazing plus it wasn’t too hot. Once the ride around was over the driver paused at a good location to watched the fountain display. That was stunning !!! The water and music were so in sync. I would definitely recommed it - they take your photos before you get on and once when your settled in the boat - with the option to purchase later (my sister loved the one on the boat so she purchased it for 75aed). I felt for 1 photo 75aed was expensive but thats your choice. The ride only lasted just over 15mins - i felt that was really short. But it was worth it. If price is your main area of hesistation you can watch the water display from the sides which is just as memorising.
I had booked this trip from England, for my family and I. Amira our travel guide was fantastic speaking English and German, very impressive! We had a small tour of only 7 people so we felt very special. The shuttle picks you up from your hotel and drops you back there, which is perfect and so convenient. You see SO much, more or less of everything in Dubai, in such a short space of time. If you are in Dubai for a few days, it is great. Everything is explained in so much detail and you learn so much about how fantastic Dubai really is. Fantastic service and a fantastic activity. Thank you so much!
This is a good way to see both the old Dubai and the new (modern) Dubai in one day. There are 3 different routes that together cover Dubai. The commentary provides useful information on the history and culture of Dubai and the UAE. Note that together the three routes take about 6 hours to get through without jumping on and off. At unexpected times of the day there can be traffic on some of the routes. There was live English commentary on one of the buses along the red route.
This is the second time I’ve booked this activity and will do every time I visit Dubai. This activity is a definite must if visiting Dubai. You’ll get to relax on an Abra water taxi around the lake before watching the stunning water fountain light show. You’ll take in all the panoramic views and the stunning Burj Khalifa. It’s suitable for friends, couple and family’s and the price is well worth it and good value for money.
