A worthwhile tour to get to know Venice better

The morning tour was great, very informative and enabled us to see parts of Venice away from the crowds and learn more about the beautiful city. The only negative is that due to the length of the morning tour we had to leave early so we could return to get lunch from our apartment before the afternoon so we did miss some of it, much to our disappointment. The afternoon island tour, which was late starting - annoying to us because we'd left the morning tour early so we didn't have to rush around, was good, we're pleased we went, although the time spent at the glass factory and lace shops were very brief and seemed to be more focused on getting us to spend money in their businesses, which I'm sure is great if your have a few €100+ spare to spend there. That aside to then have a chance to explore the rest of the islands was great, they are beautiful islands and our spare time was much enjoyed meandoring around the streets and enjoying the rest of the island.

Good value for money, but a combo-product

This tour is actually two separate tours by the same company, but with two different guides and a break in between. They are not coordinated well - as a result the lunch break is a lot shorter than planned. Skip the line access was great. In the palace, you'll see lots of paintings. Waaay to much time spent in there discussing who painted what and why and how old they were at the time. The afternoon tour is mostly about the transportation and the glassblowing demonstration. You get 30% off in the shop, but they are waaay overpriced for things below $2000 anyhow. So unless you are going for something really exquisite (like a $20'000 chandelier) the discount is not worth it. The afternoon tour gives you a lot of free time to do whatever you want on the islands. We finished 15 minutes late.

Very interesting walking tour: a gondola ride is a gondola ride

We (three) did this tour almost at the end of our time in Venice (1 week), which might have been a mistake. Our guide for the walking tour was Alessandro, pleasant, keen, well presented, polite - could not have been better. He pointed out lots of places for us to go later on. He also focused on an area west of San Marco where we luckily had not been much. The gondola ride was good, but nothing more than a gondola ride. Rather peaceful after the hubbub of the rest of Venice, I cannot get the category ratings with stars below to work - all 4 or 5 Stars.

An amazing day. Gondola ride was the Venice highlight!

Great day! Fabulous for guide, no issues.. In your free-time - make sure you head out for a Gondola ride. Don't wait for the group after the glass blowing. As many people missed their chance due to the big crowds. Instead walk a little off the main area and catch a gondola at one of many canals throughout Venice. Amaaaazing!

Really enjoyable, informative and well run. Highly recommended!

A great walking tour of Venice that was informative and fun. We found many places that we wouldn't have found otherwise. The gondola tour was really good fun too - and sharing with 4-6 other people is a great way to get this experience for less than the 110 Euros price everyone else charges!
