Full description
Venture out to sea to spend a day on the secluded island of Chrissi off the south coast of Crete.

Following a pick-up from your hotel on Crete, transfer to Ierapetra for a relaxing 45-minute cruise to Chrissi. Sit back and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you. Sunbathe on the deck of the boat as you cruise along the coast of Crete. As you approach Chrissi, take in the beauty of its shoreline and get a few photos of the island from the water.

On landing, sunbathe on long stretches of sand, or go for a swim in the shimmering turquoise waters. Alternatively, take a walk through the cedar forest. Chrissi is a protected natural reserve and features spectacular pristine scenery. Follow a path through Europe's largest natural forest of Lebanon cedars. Arrive at a beach with white coral sand, purple shells, and fossils. Spend some time in the woods, swim in crystal-clear waters, or just enjoy the fresh air.

Whether you want to lounge on the sand, bring some snorkeling gear for a memorable dive under the waves, or visit the Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas, you can find a full-day of adventures before returning to Crete.

Nice day at the beach

The island Chrisi is very beautiful and has a great beach section (Golden Beach) with clear, turquoise water. Attention: be sure to bring beach shoes! The first meters in the water consist of rough rocks !!! On the spot you have 4 hours to swim, which is ok. The organization (departure times, explanations, etc) was very good! The bus picked us up on time and brought us back in time. On the island beach chairs for 15 € (2 beach chairs and a screen) are provided. For music and culinary is also taken care of. Unfortunately, however, the power required for this is generated by a diesel-powered generator. This is very ugly! Here solar cells would be more appropriate !!! Basically a great trip, which also shows the eastern side of the island and a great beach day. Only a better environmental awareness would be desirable.

Food: take food with you if you like n a drink otherwise there are bars(less veg options but u can have chips n pitta bread). Or buy on board Clothes: yes u need swimming costumes n good sports sandals or trainers as you have a lot of walk there from 1 side of beach to the other.tip: wear swimming bikni, shorts under a dress to carry less stuff with kids. Toilets: only mobile toilets(2), no changing room otherwise.
