From Cortina: Fanes Waterfalls Via Ferrata

Start your excursion at Pian de Loa, and head down the side of the River Fanes.  After a short while you will arrive at the deep gorge, carved by glaciers, at the bottom of Mount Taburlo. As you descend through a little zig-zag path, close to to the riverbed, keep watch for local flora and fauna.

Keeping on the left bank, walk up the stream, and head over fun rock jumps and ladders. Pass through a narrow passage between the rocks that leads to the first waterfall, and prepare to take in the stunning scenery. The crossing over the canyon is really impressive, with it's narrow ledge and falls crashing. Safely secured with a fixed cable, the crossing will lead you to the Alto Bridge, where the path of Fanes Valley can be reached again.
