Brilliant tour! The extra underground and top level viewing of the Colosseum was really worth the extra cost and would high recommend this tour for the Colosseum! Tom (the Roman Forum Guide) especially went above and beyond to make it exciting, interesting and informative, he was incredibly knowledgable on the history of Rome but also good at describing it in an engaging way to novices like us - I am so glad we had him as our guide for the Forum! We were very glad to have a guided tour through the maze of buildings in the Forum and would recommend it to anyone. FIVE STARS!
The tour took place during the morning and therefore we dodged a lot of the bigger crowds. It was well organised and the guides were friendly and informative. The colosseum was amazing and we had lots of opportunities to look at and take pictures at each level. Moving onto the forum and Palantine Hill we met our guide Tom who was amazing. He lived and obviously loved the history of Rome and entertained us with fascinating facts and reminded us about lessons from history. It made for a fascinating tour which went by in a flash! Highly recommended
We loved this tour! It was in 2 parts, the first part shows you things outside the Colosseum, like the Roman Forum, and the second part was the Colosseum. Both guides were great and really informative. The only thing I didn’t think through was that the pictures I took weren't great since it was dark out. However, I would do it again to avoid the normal crowds during the day.
I really enjoyed the tour. Travelling to Rome alone meant that I wanted to have company and something personal- Lorenzo was so good! His informative tour answered all the questions which the group came up with. Being able to skip the queue and get right down to the arena floor as well as the Roman Forum made this unforgettable in my eyes.
Our guide really managed to "skip the Queue". We went straight in with no hanging about. She was very knowledgeable and managed to bring the arena alive, imparting knowledge in a relaxed but professional way. It really is a spectacular venue and we enjoyed the whole tour immensely.
