Before the tour even started we got a call and message from the tour owner Fabrizio to give us contact info and coordinate meeting. Fabrizio also followed up after to make sure the trip was good. It was! Emanuele was GREAT! Upon picking us up he asked us what we wanted to do and see and built the itinerary around it. He was very knowledgeable about the sights and had a book and audio tape for each. He was courteous and thoughtful, suggesting we stop for restroom and water before entering the city, giving us advice on how much time we should spend and what we should look for. He always dropped us off right at each site and was exactly where he said he would be. He selected a nice restaurant for lunch and waited within view. We saw so much in such a short time and NEVR felt rushed. These are the same guys Disney uses, for half the price. Book with confidence. Excellent.
We appreciated our guides knowledge of the region and her ability to impart information in a friendly , informal way. We loved the seeing the historical sights, and learning about the area, and we especially enjoyed our lunch at a local , family owned restaurant, with great food, ambiance and wine . We would have enjoyed seeing another winery or two, but we're very satisfied . Laura was excellent and I highly recommend her
Give yourself a lot of time to get back. Rome is very crowded and has a lot of traffic. We were aiming to return on the 3:30pm bus, there was so much traffic, we didn't make it and had to take the 4:00pm bus back to the port. The bus was a little difficult to find, this is a good route if you like or don't mind walking
Driver was on time. Van seemed brand new. Max was a very nice guy and a good driver. Traffic in Rome was crazy and it took away from spending a bit more time in all the attractions. Important: if you want to get inside the Vatican or the Colosseum this is not the tour for you.
The tour was well organized. We were welcomed at the bus terminal and guided to our respective bus. In Rome a guide walked us to the hop-on-hop-off bus. The buses were reliable and at each stop was also a guide assisting with information. The trip was worth taking.
