Popular Wine Tasting & Winery Tours in Chianti Hills

My wife and I had a fantastic day trip with the 'My Tour' group. Lorenzo and the team did an amazing job at guiding us enjoyably and safely through the full day. The trip took in Monteriggioni, Siena (we used our free time to visit the beatiful Duomo), the winery visitor centre and San Gimignano before returning to Florence at around 7.45pm. The three towns were stunning, and it would have been very difficult to visit them on public transport, so the fee was good value. Advice: - bring your walking shoes. Siena and San Gimignano are extremely hilly. - not strictly true to say the trip goes to Chianti - it's to a winery centre, which was effectively a long sales pitch. The lunch, while tasty, wasn't especially large, so make sure you get something to eat in Siena. - the 'free time' in the cities includes toilet trips. I'd also like to praise Lorenzo again - he had time for everyone on the trip, checked in with everyone through the day, and was overall excellent throughout.

First and foremost our tour guide has to be mentioned. Liza, apologies if I’ve mis-spelt, was amazing. Due to her passion for and knowledge of her home region this was more than just a wine tasting experience. I very much enjoyed her commentary on the history of Florence and the many Villages we past through during the trip. Thank you so much for making this a very memorable experience, you are a credit to your industry. As for the experience it’s self, it was very well organised. The wineries and villages we visited were very interesting and picturesque. I feel I should also mention our driver, Claudio, again I hope I’ve spelt it correctly, it was dark and raining heavily on our return on roads that would have been challenging driving a car in these conditions never mind a large coach. He was very professional and ensured we all returned safely. Many thanks all for a very enjoyable and memorable day.

We really enjoyed our day. Lucky to be with pleasant people. I failed the Vespa test... so we took a mini Fiat that was seriously antique! There were three flip switches and an ashtray where our radios and GPS are now. For us, this added to the adventure. I wish I could show the pictures! My only request is to offer water at check in and before the last stop. It would be an added touch. All three stops were great! I will define recommend it.

Elena was a very professional guide who kept us all informed and to good time throughout the visit. Full marks to her! Castellino in Chianti and San Gimignano were both interesting but very busy so there was not much time in this quick visit to see much. But the wine and balsamic vinegar tastings were terrific.

We loved our trip to Chianti and Sienna. The wineries were awesome, the scenery was beautiful. Would love to have an opportunity to stay in "wine country" in Italy sometime. The tour bus driver was SUPERB! Skilled, safe, efficient. I feel that the tour bus drivers are often under appreciated!
