What people are saying about Cambridge, Massachusetts
What a wonderful experience! First I was running a little late after taking the subway and walking to the bus. Someone from the tour called me to see if I was still coming and directed me so I was able to arrive in a timely manner and find my way. Thank you for that!!! Our guide Sam was so knowledgeable and fun to listen to. He is a very amazing man and I am grateful to have experienced this tour with him as guide. I was very taken with the beauty of the area. I love the Alcott House tour and the Lexington and Concord area. I love history and Sam filled in all the blanks and then some! If you are looking for a tour of Boston and the surrounding area this is the best one to do. Sam makes you want it to never end and to come back soon and when you do say "hi" to Sam for me!!
Just do the Harvard one. Ismail was an amazing guide despite his young age, it was clear he enjoyed giving the tour to us, his jokes were great and he had some interesting information. Perfect blend of professionalism and fun. Only thing was that it was difficult to find as we apparently took wrong exit out of the metro and there were no real directions given. It's in front of the Harvard Cafe at the intersection for anyone else having the same issue. Really nothing great about the MIT tour, I would not go again.
Tour guide really knew a lot and we got a great history of beer. The tour was good. We went to Sam Adams and this was a really interesting tour (but we did get the same as everyone else (big crowd) with the addition of one extra taste of beer. We also went to 3 other places all interesting and with a good variety of beer --though the tasting sizes (going back to the extra taste at Sam Adams) were a little slim. We did have a good meal, which was served with a beer sample paddle.
It was an action packed vacation, to say the least. We truly enjoyed Boston and the history! The Whale watching was magnificent, but other tourists would about knock you down to see. So be prepared for that especially if you have small children, even they are not safe on the sunset cruise. With so much to do, it is hard to pack it all in and we had the 5 day pass. We got to about half of the events listed and a few that weren't..
The money we paid was so worth it because we loved the tours, specially the Harvard tour. Everything they told us was very interesting and fascinating; we loved the buildings, the statues, the stories, the gift shop...everything!!! We want to give a shoutout to our tour guide (Josh or Ross, we don’t quietly remember) because he was the best!! He explained everything so good and with so much passion!
