Fascinating and Ruben was a highly knowledgeable and great guide!!

We spend the day with Ruben, a family of four on a semi-private tour with two lovely visitors from Turkey as well. Ruben navigated Barcelona expertly and effectively and once we were out of the city told us all about Dali's life, from his birth in Figueres and young life (his parents believed he was the reincarnation of their son who died 9 mos before Dali, so they gave him his dead brother's name). The details and his capacity to tell compelling stories made Ruben's tale of the influences on Dali, his complex relationships with his wife Gala and his (male born) lover Amalia and his relationship with Figueres and Cadaques, where he lived later in his life riveting such that my two children, who would usually be searching everywhere for wifi were also captivated. We were traveling with one person in a wheelchair and he was thoughtful and helpful in navigating things most effectively and comfortably. I highly recommend Ruben as a guide and we all give him two thumbs up!

This was the first time I had ever taken a day-long guided tour. My friend and I agreed it was a great way to see the Dalí museums. Setting up the tour was convenient. They were accommodating, and came to our hotel to pick us up/ drop us off... which was much appreciated. On the drive we not only were given some of Dali’s history, but the history of the area. Andre, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about Dali’s life and works. At the first 2 museums, he explained a few key works in detail and gave us time to roam around and experience the museums for ourselves. Understanding Dali’s symbolism allowed us to see Dali’s visions in a new way. Viewing the landscapes on the way to Dali’s house museum, the third stop, is alone worth the trip. The winding road along the mountainous coast and tucked away towns are breathtaking. There are additional fees for the tickets so make sure to bring extra cash to settle up at the end of the trip. What a fun day!!!

Salvador Dalí Tour from Barcelona with Hotel Pick Up Reviewed by

First, the hotel/lodging location pick up and drop off was fantastic. Our guide Oriol was excellent. His knowledge on Dali and on details was impressive. There was no question he could not answer. His knowledge about the region and on Spain was all extremely valuable. He is also a very likable guy to spend the day with. The group is maximum at 8 guests and there is no cancellation regardless of how many have signed up. That is also excellent. His recommendation for things to do while at the sites and on our own have all been spot on. I needed to use an ATM and Oriol provided assistance to find on en route and provided help to ensure that is was done. Greatly appreciated. I would recommend him highly. Many little touches of high service and care that are too numerous to mention. I would recommend to to anyone interested in a Dali day with an expert. It was great to experience the Dali Theatre museum, and to see his home along the shore.

Amazing time. One of our favorite days for our entire vacation.

Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a way to learn about Salvador Dali's work and life. Also a fantastic way to see Costa Brava scenery without going through the trouble of renting a car. Mariusz, our guide, was great. He picked us up from our accommodations, was extremely knowledgeable, and even waited in the overwhelming line to buy our museum tickets for us so that we would be able to spend our time exploring Figueres. Cannot recommend this experience enough.

Loved seeing where Salvador Dali lived and also viewing his art work.

Our guide , Miguel, was an excellent driver, very careful of my car sickness on the winding road. His excitement and knowledge of Dali made the tour great. The big problem was the car was too small-especially for such a long ride. The back seat was squished with 3 adults and quite uncomfortable for riding over 4hours. My husband's knees were against the seat in from and the seat belt was pushing into my side.
