Full description
After checking in at the wharf, you'll travel from Brisbane to Moreton Island on a scenic ferry ride. Enjoy a complimentary beverage either on the boat ride over, or during the return journey. Arrive at beautiful Moreton Island after approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and spend some time exploring the island at your leisure. Benefit from full access to the pools, cafes, restaurants, bars, and the beach.

At approximately 12:00 PM, depart for your 3-hour whale watching cruise. The vessel is a smooth-sailing comfortable catamaran — the perfect vantage point to spot whales in the water. Enjoy a full commentary that will explain the habitats and behaviors of these amazing creatures. A light lunch, coffee, tea and refreshments will be served on board.

Then, if you choose, you can enjoy the "Discover the World of Dolphins" presentation at 3:15 PM. If not, explore the island until sunset when you'll head to the jetty to see the family of wild dolphins as they grace the shores of Tangalooma Island Resort for their nightly feed.

At approximately 7:00 PM, leave the island and travel back to Brisbane, arriving at 8:15 PM.

The meeting point is difficult to reach by public transport in the morning and in the evening you have to call a taxi, there is no bus anymore. The whale watching tour was very nice and we saw 14 whales that day. But you shouldn't get seasick quickly, because the boat rocks very much. Moreton Island was very beautiful and during your free time you have time to explore the island. The dolphin feeding was too crowded for me and only serves to make money. It no longer looked natural. Still nice to see wild dolphins.
