The transport alone was a fantastic reason to buy this welcome card, just over £30 would barely have covered half of the travelling we did in 4 days... In zones ABC on U-bahn, S-bahn, bus and tram. The discounts in the guidebook were good but the sheer amount of places the card can be used for discounts makes it hard to plan your trip in a short amount of time. If the guide book could be emailed at the time of purchase for example, there would be more time to plan and therefore utilise more of the discounts. Still brilliant value if you know you'll be travelling loads! Would buy again if I go back.
If you have difficulty walking, but want to travel around Berlin, this is the way to go. The metro system is easy to navigate, clean, and safe. Trains run by the clock and the signs guide you easily to any destination. If confused or uncertain, simply ask around and the beautiful people of Berlin, whom the majority speak English, are more then willing to give directions and information. Great value!
It was easy to order and then collect the cards at the airport when we arrived in Berlin. They gave us free travel in the whole Berlin area including Potsdam which we also visited. This was brilliant as Berlin is a large city and you can't cover everything on foot. The discounts in museums and other attractions was a bonus.
We had 3 days in Berlin the transport ticket is a must with all the different systems of transport available in Berlin. No looking for ticket machines just get on and ride. The guide can be read and cherry picked to give you good daily tours out to suit you.
Booked a 6-day ticket on-line and picked it up with no trouble at Tegel Airport. Very vost effective way to get around Berlin by Sbahn, Underground, and bus. Berlin's public transport is fast efficient, and goes everywhere.
