Good value, but the boat cruise was disappointing.....

The hop-on hop-off bus is good value for getting around the main sites, pretty regular although some of the less popular drops were more difficult to get back on again. Depends on how busy the time of year is I guess (we were there on the Easter weekend). We did have some issues getting our paper voucher to scan with the street vendors, but that may be a one-off. Personally I’d suggest giving the boat cruise a miss, or better still, don’t pay the extra to add this. Vienna is a beautiful city, none of which was on show through this 90-minute trip up and down the Danube canal. The graffiti art was amazing, but that was the only highlight. I thought we’d at least make it to the Danube river, but apparently not......

Marieta is the best tour guide for the city

My entire family loved Marieta and her walking tour of the city. Vienna is a beautiful city, and her insight was a five star performance. Every building she provided an excellent description of it’s history. Both my wife and mother in law love roses, and when she took through the park, the roses left them both speechless. She could not have planned a better tour. Marieta is gracious, professional and every family that tours Vienna should request her. We thank her one last time for the tour of a lifetime.

Vienna: Half-Day Private Walking Tour Reviewed by

Coach tour was poor but the Palace was impressive

The coach tour commentary in both English and Spanish was most confusing and left the ears feeling battered. His trying to describe places in two languages as the coach rushed by and fought with other traffic was most unsatisfactory. We felt that we had learned virtually nothing about Vienna. I think a single language walking tour would probably have been better. The Palace was impressive but the tour was a little rushed, again not helped by the dual language commentary.

Very interesting tour, must be repeated.

The tour guide accompanied us where the car for the city tour was waiting, then met us again in Schonbrunn Entrance and lead us directly inside the Palace Our city tour was on May 1, City Center was blocked by manifestations but our City Tour driver/guide did his best to show us almost all the interesting places in the list.

Good efficient city tour before highlights of Schooenbrunn Palace

Well organised, with free pick up from hotel, efficiently run and with very informative tour of both the city and the palace - a really good way to familiarise yourself with the layout of the city - the strudel and melange package in the Schoenbrunn Palace cafe is also an ideal way to fill the time after the palace tour
