Would strongly recommend all to visit both these sites. Both are completely different from each other in Greek history and beauty. Tour guide Anastasia was very knowledgeable of both sites, with the geography of the area and Greek history whilst on motion. Very interesting information. Bus was comfortable, air con and WiFi, but quite windy the roads too and from Metero (those who get travel sick I suggest take something to make the journey smooth for yourselves ) don’t forget to bring a swimming costume! (Hotel has a pool rent a towel for one euro as you can’t use the towel in your room. Only suggestion for this tour would be for another 30minutes at Delphi so people can visit the museum.
We had a fabulous time. Everything was perfect and Martina, our guide, was full of knowledge. The hotel was great (we went first class), although at first we had a twin instead of a double. We were able to arrange a swap with the hotel. The only thing we’d change would be to have a toilet on the bus and to stop at a different lunch place coming home (food was very ordinary, high pressure selling and really only main course meals - all we wanted was a sandwich or roll. Other than that - fabulous!
We enjoyed much the tour but it is yet v expensive and i thought it is written in inclusions entrance fees, yet our guide, who was v friendly and informative, insisted that entrance fees to Acropolis was not included and we had to pay extra for entrance fees so overall the tour is really over priced for only two hours
The Meteora monasteries are very special. One of the must see in Europe. The trip was very good organized. We got all information in advance and were expected by our tour guide in Kalampaka. We have been there in October. Still a lot of tourist. I can not imagine how it looks like in the main season.
The tour is excellent. Because of the limited time (since I grab the whole day tour), we didn’t have ample time to explore the place but anyway, I recommend that atleast I will spend two days when I come back for this tour. Thank you and more power!
