Full description
This is a two-day trip by bus from Athens. On the first day you depart to drive towards the Corinth canal with a short stop there. Drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. This UNESCO World Heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asklepios, the healer, and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings which is still used today thanks to its amazing acoustics.

Then the bus continues to Nafplion for a short stop and through the plains of Argos you will arrive at Mycenae. There you will visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon the bus departs for Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, passing by the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis. You will have a pre-booked overnight stay in Olympia.

On day two, visit the archaeological site of ancient Olympia with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum with unique artifacts and the famous statue Hermes of Praxiteles and many others. In the afternoon, the bus will drive via Patra where you will see the famous Rio-Antirion Bridge, considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe. Continue your route and arrive back to Athens in the late afternoon.
