What people are saying about Antalya

Fantastic place but trip was rather poorly organized

After some hassle we set off at 6:15. At 8:00 we had a 45 min stop for breakfast. An unexpected stop at a textile outlet to shop bed linen and knock-off designer clothes lasted about 30 min. Next stop: a stone factory, another 30 min. Then the guide had to stop off at the lunch restaurant. At Pamukkale he gave us a short description of the ruins. By 12:30 he had finally sorted everything out and we had our locker keys. Wading through the ponds and swimming in the antique pool was amazing, and we all would have liked to have more time! At 3:00 pm we went back to the restaurant for lunch, surprisingly tasty. The long journey back to Antalya began. We unanimously turned down offers to see a carpet shop and a local wine-maker. Coffee break and a scenic view of Anatlya and an artificial waterfall prolonged the trip. Finally back in town we were dropped of at Hadrian’s Gate “because it is very difficult to drive in told town”. At 8:30 after a long and tiring day this was not pleasant.

Pamukkale is your Instagram post kinda place!

We were picked up from our hotel in Antalya around 07:15-07:30 a.m. in an air-conditioned van! Then we picked up the other passengers and started on the approximately 3 hour long drive to Pamukkale! Our guide was this young, attractive looking girl Dilber! She was very interactive & informative! On the way we stopped at a gas station for toilet break & buying refreshments! Then we stopped for about an hour at this shop which sells stone & stone products (which was a complete waste of time and should have been avoided)! Then we had buffet lunch at a restaurant, which was good! Then we reached Pamukkale! It is a place which is good for taking pictures for social media! “The Cleopatra Pool” is very dirty and full of algae and can be completely avoided (especially considering you have to pay 50 Turkish Liras to enter it)! Then we started on the journey back to our hotel and reached around 08:00 p.m.! It was a long, tiring day!

Great experience, good food and good tour guide

We found the tour perfect amount of information provided by the guide with ample free time for you to explore the areas that interested you individually. It was a long drive however they allow a breakfast stop to break up the trip in the morning and a coffee stop in the afternoon. Lunch was plenty of food with enough time to eat but not waste time there so we could start the drive back to Antalya. We were very happy with the overall tour.

You have to run if you want to see everything

They respected the timing and the promise to pick you up from the hotel. The guide explained a lot of interesting stuff during the long travel. But once you arrive at Pamukkale, you have only 3 hours to see everything. Which is not enough if you do not want to rush. We spent 30 minutes to a jewel store, a stop that the driver could have avoid.

Incredible! 5 star location, tour and lunch!

Incredible! 5 star location! This is my 2nd visit and a must do if you are visiting Turkey! A short tour of Hierapolis with guide explanation would make the experience much better but the self exploration of the ancient city is still exciting. Ending the day with a swim in Cleopatra's Pool to wash the day's dust was magic.
