Full description
Meet your guide in Dam Square, 15 minutes before the start of the tour. The guide will be holding an orange umbrella with a 360 logo for recognition. Begin to walk through the historic canal district of Amsterdam, as you see and feel the streets that Vincent van Gogh himself passed on his many strolls through the city.

Your guide will make several stops along the way to tell you the fascinating, sad, and sometimes juicy stories behind the famous paintings, such as The Potato Eaters, and The Sunflowers. Learn more about his struggle with his mental illness, life in France, and his loving relationship with his brother, Theo. In 1-hour, get to see the world through his eyes and try to grasp how he managed to transform this unique view into the world-famous paintings at the museum.

On the way to the van Gogh Museum, pass the majestic Rijksmuseum, home to the famous paintings of Vincent’s greatest hero; Rembrandt. The tour explains how to spot a touch of Rembrandt in the work of van Gogh. At the end of the tour, you enter the van Gogh Museum directly. See the paintings in a different light now that you know all the beautiful stories of how they came to life.
