Red, Blue, and Green bus routes to hop on and off from to see all the main historical sites of Edinburgh. One bus had an English live guide - very interesting as you went around lots of historic Edinburgh sites, whilst the other 2 had headphones. We bought the special £63 48hr ticket which included the tickets for Edinburgh Castle, Hollyrood Palace, and the Royal Yacht Britannia which was really good value. We then bought a further 48 hr 3 line bus package just for the buses for another 2 days for £22 as they were so useful. We stayed in an AIRBNB in Leith not far (14 min walk) from where Royal yacht Britannia was on the blue line which saved us loads of money on taxis or other buses, especially as we had to get back and let our dog out and then get back into Edinburgh so the blue line was really useful for that. We also loved the walks along the Leith waterway near our flat to walk to the pubs in Leith Harbour. Only reason not 5* need to press stop button prior to stop or won't stop.

My sister and I had the 2 day pass on the city tour bus. The Royal Yacht, Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood House were all worth seeing and we enjoyed our visit very much. The drivers on the tour buses were very friendly and helpful, and the people we met were very welcoming everywhere. I would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful city.

Very good value for money The Royal Yacht was crowded but well worth the visit. Holyrood House and Edinburgh Castle. We were not able to take advantage of the 48hr ticket as we left 2nd day ticket in our hotel room and the bus company were not able to reprint the ticket. Cheaper that buying individual tickets.
