For those looking for a tour around the Highlands amid all the many tour choices out there, I sincerely recommend Rafael’s tour - it was for sure the best tour I’ve ever joined. Rafael took the thoughts to plan for the tour, so that you get to travel to all the less-accessible but all the more beautiful spots in the Highlands within a day. This was not something one can do usually without a guide who knows and loves the place. For Harry Potter fans, it was definitely a dream coming true to step on where Hagrid threw his stone, where Dumbledore slept forever, where Hermione got hit by a stone thrown by herself...this trip was definitely the best part of my Scotland trip. It makes me want to return to all the mesmerizing places again. For sure a once-in-a-lifetime experience, even for those who are not big about Harry Potter, because the Highlands that Rafael took you through was stunningly beautiful in its own rights.
If you know nothing about whiskey then this is the tour for you. We started with a history of whiskey walking tour.....thank goodness whiskey was available to warm you up after...really interesting, very knowledgeable guide..Charles. I booked this as a surprise for my partner, he was delighted and excited to learn more about the beginnings of whiskey and how the whiskey trade is where it is today. As I am not a whiskey drinker my partner had double helpings...and that dear ladies is the time to take the men shopping..after the tour! ......make it expensive
This was such a thorough tour, and definitely worth it! It was awesome to walk around and see the historical structures and to hear all the stories behind it all. Alana was so great and didnt skip a beat. She was very kind and informative! Every question I had, she had an answer to. I learned so much more than if I were to have toured the city on my own. Great tour! Totally recommend!
My family and I (husband and two daughters ages 9 and 11) really enjoyed our walking tour with Alana. She is lovely to spend time with and was so interesting to talk to. She showed us all the places we requested and told us things about Edinburgh that we certainly wouldn't know if we weren't locals. I highly recommend going on a tour with her!
So good! She gave us so much history and information. She was kind of hard to spot, maybe the company should switch to purple umbrellas, because everyone had orange ones. We went to two different orange umbrellas before we found our guide.
