The tour was brilliant, incredibly informative about the history of Edinburgh, while bringing the ghost stories to life and playing on the superstitions of the group. Our tour guide, Nora, was wonderful, easily navigating the busy streets during fringe and making sure we stayed as a group, with frequent stops to give more detail and stories as we went. Nora was incredibly kind and energetic, her enthusiasm and storytelling skills really made the experience one of a kind.

It was great! Not too much walking and the guide we had was more than entertaining! I really enjoyed the vault section as I felt quite a spiritual connection. There is quite a steep step and a spiral stair case to take in order to access the vaults which is also the exit so is not disability accessible unfortunately. Other than that I’d love to go back to the vaults and the grave was a nice walk!

The guide was a great storyteller and did hus best of scaring the participants, which he did on several occations. We were more interested in hearing about the life that people acually lived when the vaults were in use. Who lived there, why did they live there and how could they live there?
