Full description
Head for the Highlands, whether in search of the Loch Ness Monster or just a scenic day trip from Edinburgh. After pickup from the meeting point, relax on your group’s bus and listen to the guide’s entertaining commentary. Your first stop is Kilmahog for an introduction to the famous Highland Cows and a cup of coffee. If you’ve ever asked yourself what a ‘hairy coo’ is, this is a real treat. Next, travel up the road to Glencoe. Enjoy a 10-minute photo stop here as the unforgettable Highland views wow you. Lunch is then in Fort William, where your guide can advise you on where’s best to eat. If interested in the mysteries of the kilt, you can even get a ‘wee’ kilt introduction here. You’ll then be whisked to Loch Ness itself.  Best of all, customize your experience at Loch Ness with some personal touches. Visit the majestic Urquhart Castle, and hop on a boat in search of ‘Nessie’, as the locals fondly call it. Or simply hang out on the pier and grab a coffee with some fantastic views. On the way home, make a short snack stop in Pitlochry, a beautiful village in the heart of the country, before returning to Edinburgh.

Recently went on this tour to Loch Ness and the Highlands. The Scottish scenery is awesome and Glencoe is thought provokingly beautiful. Would highly recommend the cruise on Loch Ness as the views of Urquhart Castle from the boat were As David said Scotland may be a small country but has a lot of history to celebrate, and how well he explained it to us in the way of stories, music, well timed anecdotes and humour. Kenny our driver was excellent and I am sure made everyone feel safe on some of those twisty highland roads. This was undoubtedly the best tour ever, which had a lot to do with having 2 “bonnie” and friendly Kilted Scotsman looking after us so well the whole day. David and Kenny you are both amazing and a real five star duo, and still talking about you. One disappointment though was you never did those handstands you promised. Thank you guys for a memorable day, Anyone considering taking this tour, don’t be put off seeing it lasts over 12 hours long as it i

It's definitely a must do tour. The views are great, there are many places included. What we expected to be a bit different was the fact that it's mostly a bus tour, not at all a walking tour. The guide speaks to the audio system in the bus, so we didn't have much contact with him. I think Kelly was his name, he really was a nice guy, but as visitors coming from abroad, the Scottish accent was a bit too much for us and couldn't quite get all the information and not being able to have eye contact with him made it even more difficult. All in all we enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. We also enjoyed the cruising on the Loch Ness even though we didn't spot Nessie .
