Full description
Head for the Highlands, whether in search of the Loch Ness Monster or just a scenic day trip from Edinburgh. After pickup from the meeting point, relax on your group’s bus and listen to the guide’s entertaining commentary. Your first stop is Kilmahog for an introduction to the famous Highland Cows and a cup of coffee. If you’ve ever asked yourself what a ‘hairy coo’ is, this is a real treat. Next, travel up the road to Glencoe. Enjoy a 10-minute photo stop here as the unforgettable Highland views wow you. Lunch is then in Fort William, where your guide can advise you on where’s best to eat. If interested in the mysteries of the kilt, you can even get a ‘wee’ kilt introduction here. You’ll then be whisked to Loch Ness itself.  Best of all, customize your experience at Loch Ness with some personal touches. Visit the majestic Urquhart Castle, and hop on a boat in search of ‘Nessie’, as the locals fondly call it. Or simply hang out on the pier and grab a coffee with some fantastic views. On the way home, make a short snack stop in Pitlochry, a beautiful village in the heart of the country, before returning to Edinburgh.

Our guide, David, was extremely knowledgable, helpful, polite and organised. The tour was excellent as it covered a lot and we’ve seen most of the important sights in Scotland in a day. We’ve actually covered a lot more than what we expected and also learnt a lot about each sight and Scotland itself, thanks to the guide. We’d definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

We had a fantastic trip with David and Jim. David shared a lot of information about the historic sites, attractions and must-not-miss spots. He was very helpful all along and shared good jokes. Excellent time management too. Adults and children all enjoyed the journey, highly recommend. Jim the driver deserved an applause for the long drive.

Well-paced day. Tour guide very knowledgeable and entertaining. Beauftiful scenery with plenty of stops for toilet breaks, souvenirs and snacks. Bus was very comfortable. Like most organised tours you're limited by time constraints and the group - but this tour felt very relaxed and well-run. Would recommend for any other traveller wanting to see Loch Ness and the Scottish countryside!
