A modern distillery in the heart of historic Edinburgh, Holyrood Distillery is inspired by its surroundings, never afraid to experiment, and dedicated to shaping the spirit of tomorrow. Our guided experience allows you to discover how gin and whisky are created, as well as the traditions and innovative new methods in craft distilling. This is a hands-on sensory experience, taking in the sights of the gin and whisky distillery, with opportunities for tasting and nosing throughout. At the conclusion of the tour, you have the opportunity to purchase a flight of gin or whisky to enjoy at your leisure, with a full introduction by a member of the distillery's passionate team.

Before we bought tickets for this activity, we were considering Scotish whisky experience museum next to Edinburgh castle. In the end we consider this visit better because of more calm locality/surroundings and significant less of tourists. The tour was as well excellent with highly educated and mainly passionated Mr. guide. Only can recommend to anyone else to give it a try!

I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Stewart our guide was very informative and you could see how passionate he was about his job too. He spoken well, with clear details into the products. I enjoyed the drinks and I even purchased my very own bottle at the end of the tour. We received a free glass as a souvenir to take home too

I arrived early and advised the lady at reception I was Hokies on a 5pm tour. She told me to wait in the bar and they would come and get me fit my tour but I missed the first 15 minutes of this tour as no one came to get me when the 5pm tour started. If I had not enquired what was happening with my tour booked I may have missed it all.
