2. Gold Coast & Brisbane Island Scenic Flight & 4WD Day Tour

Your Island adventure begins from the Gold Coasts International airport. Escape the city and enjoy a 30min scenic flight past the city skyline, then across the beautiful turquoise waters of Moreton bay marine park, spotting all the local marine life en-route to the island oasis that is North Stradbroke (Minjerribah). Arriving at the island airport, you’ll disembark to meet your 4WD tour guide, aussie local legend ‘Barefoot Dave’. The first on the agenda will be morning tea, either at the airfield beside the local kangaroos or at Brown Lake, a postcard perfect Ti Tree oil lake both spots ideal for a morning tea break, enjoy hot tea and fresh home made aussie damper with jam, to settle into island time. You’ll then be guided all over the northern tracks and beaches of the island, learning about some of the incredible history and aboriginal culture of the island while spotting plenty of wildlife along the way, Koalas, Kangaroos & Eagles to name a few. Dave will find the perfect beach or lake side oasis to set up the BBQ and cook up an Aussie feast to enjoy while you soak in the beautiful sights and sounds of this natural paradise. After lunch you’ll make your way to the stunning North Gorge at Point Lookout to walk around the cliff top boardwalk. This is Queensland’s most Easterly point, so you’ll have a good chance of spotting humpback whales (late May early Nov), dolphins, turtles, manta rays, sharks & schools of large fish. The cliff top walk conveniently ends just outsides Dave’s favourite Gelato shop, just in time for an afternoon treat to enjoy while sitting on the cliff top over looking the pristine turquoise water below. From Point Lookout you’ll head back to the island airfield for your return afternoon flight back to the Gold Coast, It’ll be an Island Adventure you & your loved ones will never forget!

Did #rivertobay Moreton Bay: Best of Moreton Bay 3 Island Day Tour which includes snorkelling Tangalooma Wrecks Moreton Island, lunch Little Ship club Dunwich North Stradbroke & walk on St Helena island. Was fun, even though weather wasn't great & the water was rough at times. The snorkelling was still good with lots of colourful fish, a turtle & stingray.Although the "big men" who were freaking out at first, made it a little disorganised. Lol. Lunch was a nice pub type lunch with a koala & kangaroo in the nearby cemetery. The walk around the edge of St Helena island was interesting. Saw a Shovel nosed ray from the pier, a wallaby & interesting flora, although it was a little disappointing that you can't get closer to the penal colony stockade, as access is restricted. However, would highly recommend this tour!

The whole experience was awesome. Harry, Lauren and Ben were fun, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. They kept us safe and comfortable the whole day. If you’re looking for a fun crew that’ll look after you the whole day River To Bay have you covered.

Great way to see Moreton Bay. Well planned, lots of time on the water, smooth ride. Lunch tasty with a great view. Interesting visit to St Helena Island - all in all a great day out.
