Our guide was amazing. If you’re a historian or profoundly interested in the modern history of Croatia as much as you are interested in the beaches, beauty, nature and food then this tour is for you. Personally, I like to understand the places I visit from a local perspective when possible. I’m not satisfied with the usual tourist activities. I’m a bit of a nerd and this tour is perfect for this kind of person. Also, you get exercise in a beautiful place, while supporting a young historian whose father is a war veteran. My father is a veteran as well and so, I get it. It won’t bring you down, it will lift you up, because it ends with freedom and rejuvenation. It’s a few hours well spent for history, exercise, local perspective and celebrating Croatia’s fighting spirit.

What a great tour! Marin led us through the streets of Dubrovnik recounting the events of the days when the war came to the doorsteps of the people of Dubrovnik. By coincidence, our tour also took place on August 5th when Croatia celebrates ‘Victory Day’

You get the whole history that led up to the war just 30 years ago. Great guide who was able to give a nuanced interpretation of the events and backdrop that led to the war. Very interesting.

Pero our guide did. an amazing job. We had 3,5 hours of an very exiting tour
