After meeting your guide for a tour introduction in Port of Gruz, start your engines and get off the beaten track in the 4-seater buggies. You will have the opportunity to see parts of Dubrovnik’s surroundings rarely seen by visitors. After this 1-hour expedition, you will have free time to explore the Imperial Fortress, War Museum, or simply enjoy the views of Dubrovnik on the terrace of one of the most amazing belvederes in Croatia. On this 6-hour shore excursion you’ll meet your private guide at Dubrovnik’s cruise ship port. Relax in an air-conditioned transfer vehicle on a leisurely drive to the base of Mount Srđ, the 1,352-foot mountain that towers over the city. As you travel, feel free to ask your guide any questions you may have. Board the cable car for a panoramic ride up Mount Srđ. Take in the stunning aerial views of the city and the Dalmatian coast as you ascend to the summit. When you arrive, gaze out at the jaw-dropping views from the 2 panoramic terraces. It is said that on a clear day you can see sights up to 37 miles away. Back on the ground, follow your guide to Dubrovnik Old Town. As you meander through the maze of cobbled streets and narrow passageways, you’ll learn about the area’s rich cultural and historical significance. See Onofrio's Fountain and continue past Sponza Palace. Walk across the main square to see the Baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, which was rebuilt in the 18th century, following an earthquake. Other highlights include the Rector’s Palace and the Church of St. Blaise. After the walking tour, you’ll board the transfer vehicle and return to the port in time for your cruise departure.
