Full description
Discover Dublin's hidden gems as you wander among many famous places on this 2.5-hour tour. Stop at the impressive classical Front Square of Ireland’s first university, Trinity College, to hear of the college’s numerous tales and treasures. The next stop is at the magnificent 18th century former Houses of Parliament. Take a walk through Dublin's back streets before arriving at the splendid City Hall building. Then visit the historic Dublin Castle's courtyards and garden, where the revered Chester Beatty Library Galleries is also located. Continue on past the ancient City Walls, and stop to admire Ireland’s largest church, the medieval St Patrick’s Cathedral. The cathedral was the base of renowned author Jonathan Swift until his death in 1745. A short stroll takes you to the even older Christ Church Cathedral and to Fishamble Street. Learn about the area's history as a Viking settlement, and view the site of the world’s first performance of Handel’s Messiah. Walk past Smock Alley Theatre, Ireland’s oldest theatrical site, and then finish the tour with a visit to Temple Bar, Dublin’s cultural and entertainment quarter.

Great Tour

We had a lovely time with our guide - it was a very small group which was great because and everyone was paying attention to what was happening. The sight were well picked and the guide knew many intresting things about them without getting into too many details. It really is a bit of a hike though (which we thought was great), there was a lot of walking in the sunshine.

Eoin is wonderful!

This tour ended up being closer to 3 hours, so it was kind of exhausting but also really fun and interesting! Our tour guide, Eoin, was really informative without lecturing us, and he had a very sweet personality. He was clearly knowledgeable about the city's history and his emotional attachment to it made him very endearing. I learned a lot on this tour and got to see many of Dublin's sights in a single afternoon. With the price of a ticket, this was a GREAT deal.

Very Good Tour

This was a very informative tour. We saw most of the sites in the center of Dublin. Keep in mind that you will not go inside the cathedrals, city hall, etc. I think this tour is good to get oriented in Dublin and to learn about main events in Ireland's history.
