Like most of these tours, it is all about the guide. Fortunately we had Mary who was an excellent communicator who knew how to address and connect with her audience in a way that brought the story to life and made it relatable to a group not well versed in Irish history and events.

Neil is a very friendly guide, knowing how to arouse interest with original and well-told anecdotes. The visit to the Trinity College library is stunning, it is superb. The walk through the streets of Dublin and the explanation about the different buildings and the history of Ireland was well done. Unfortunately I had scheduled this visit for the end of the stay and we hardly had time to enjoy the neighborhood presented. The tour was in English so a good level of understanding is required, although Neil speaks some French.

Our tour with Neil McCourt was beyond fantastic! He is an amazing storyteller an kept everyone's rapt attention as we moved about Dublin. He was one of the best tour guides we have ever experienced. Witty, charismatic, great singer/actor and very intuitive about the needs of his group. If my husband and I could give him 10 stars, we would!
