Full description
Travel out of Dublin and into the countryside around on a 5-hour morning or afternoon tour to Glendalough and Wicklow. The tour begins with an introduction to Dublin City, as you head south toward County Wicklow, known affectionately as the Garden of Ireland. Sparkling lakes, dense forests, and romantic babbling brooks make this a spectacular scenic drive and a fine day out from the big city. You will also see the scenery made famous by films such as Braveheart and P.S. I Love You. Make your way over the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough, the valley of the 2 lakes. Enjoy a relaxing walk to the Upper Lake and explore the monastic ruins of St. Kevin's monastery. Then enjoy lush surroundings as you make your way through the Sally Gap before returning to Dublin.

Kevin, our guide, was fantastic. Great personality and very informative. His driving was very good too. The tour returns by about 1 pm to the city centre leaving enough time to do other things in town. Glendalough was beautiful even though it was a bit cloudy. Grateful it was not raining!

Beautiful and breathtaking scenery - just what you would expect Ireland to be like. Meeting place was not well explained, so we had to walk around the corner to find someone and the bus finally showed up. Very prompt leaving and returning. All in all would absolutely recommend for anyone needing something to do - we left by 8 a.m. and were back in Dublin by 1:00 p.m.

5-hour tour, they pick you up, the driver explains things about the city and Ireland along the way. Then, on the site you have time for an hour and something to walk around the area as you wish. The driver tells you how to get to the lake and everything. But you go at your leisure and then you return to the point where you left off and you make a last short stop as at a viewpoint. The truth is that it is very complete for the time it is and it is worth it.
