On this Game of Thrones tour of Split, you will see many of the significant and recognizable Game of Thrones film locations. You will begin the tour with the spectacular and unmistakable fortress at Klis, where so much Game of Thrones filming took place. At this location in season 4, Daenerys overthrows the Meereen, the largest of the three great Slaver Cities. With panoramic views across the valley and the city of Split beneath, this imposing fort has protected the seat of many a Croatian King. Today, it’s a tranquil but spectacular location. You can climb to the top of the fortress to see where Khalisi answered "injustice with justice", by nailing the city’s former rulers to crosses for hundreds to see. You will also visit Kaštel Gomilica, which was the setting of the free city of Braavos. Finally, you will finish your tour at the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace in Split, the setting of some of Daenerys Targaryen’s most memorable scenes. This 1,700-year-old Diocletian Palace was constructed by Emperor Diocletian in the 3rd century and remains the city’s most famous site. It is here that you see Daenerys in her throne room, where she trained her dragons, and where the famous "kill the masters" scene in season 4 takes place.

More people need to do this tour! My guide was as big a GoT geek as I was. He was also well versed in the history of Croatia as well. He took me to GoT film sites that are not only not on the itinerary, but sites I've not seen anyone on the internet mention. He let me take my time getting the shots I wanted....there was never a rush. He even got me back in plenty of time to catch my bus to Dubrovnik. In one day I saw Bravos, Meereen. Dorne. My guide was even knowledgeable on photography and took angles to match shots from the show. I've taken Got tours in Iceland and Nortern Ireland and this was one of my favorites. BOOK THESE GUYS if you want an awesome Got experience in Split.

Excellent tour. Adrian was a great guide. Apart from the game of thrones tour we learnt a lot of history of Croatia and Split. The tricks used while shooting game of thrones in Split were explained beautifully. Also being the 100,000th person to enter the fortress of Klis we were interviewed by the TV crew and were given a lovely gift by the mayor. Absolutely loved the tour. Would definitely recommend it.

Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly, he answered all of our questions and had a good sense of humour. There were only 3 of us on our trip so we had a great experience. He didn’t rush any part and gave us so much information, not just game of thrones but historical information. Our guide took us to great locations and had photographs to show us to prove the locations, he even set us some fun challenges.
