You’ll be picked up at 9:30 AM at the Beaune tourist office and travel in an air conditioned minivan (maximum of 8 passengers) on this full-day wine tour. The tour begins with a winery visit in Beaune, where you’ll find a wide range of different wines, including several Premiers crus and Grand crus. You'll be introduced to different appellations such as Saint-Aubin, Meursault Premier Cru Les Charmes and Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. After the winery visit you'll have free time for lunch and for a visit to the 15th-century Hospices de Beaune (admission to be paid on site). After lunch, you'll head out along the scenic Route des Grands Crus and stop at the famous Romanée-Conti, which produces the most expensive wine in the world. You'll also have guided tours at Clos Vougeot and in Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1098 by monks, the vineyard of Clos de Vougeot covers 50 hectares. The castle houses the brotherhood of the Knights of the Tastevin. Its wines are some of the most famous in Burgundy, including Le Clos Vougeot Grand Cru. At Nuits Saint Georges you'll have the opportunity to visit a wine cellar and share some time with the winemaker around a tasting of his best Pinot Noir wines. At the end of the tour you’ll be transferred back to Beaune and dropped off at the tourist office at 17:30.

Take in the sights, smells, and sounds before sitting down to a full lunch at a small restaurant nestled amongst the Beaune hills. After lunch you ride downhill to the Grand Cru of Puligny-Montrachet. Savor local flavors with a wine tasting session at the vineyard and learn about the different vines in Burgundy. Here you will understand more about the plant, the soil, and why Burgundy wine is one of the best. Visit the winery estate and stone cellar and get the chance to buy some bottles directly from the seller. Enjoy the convenience of having the bottles that you buy delivered directly to your hotel or home. Return to the meeting point in Beaune through an easy, downhill route.

The tastings starts with an explanation of how to taste a wine properly. The methode is based on the Wine & Spirit Education Trust systematic approach to wine tasting. Your guide reached the highest level of this school in London last year and has ten years of experience leading tasting to both amateurs and professionals. Then along with tasting wines, he will guide you through the different areas within Burgundy, the different grapes, the history, the rules of production, how to read a label in Burgundy etc. Everything you want to understand about the region will be approched. The atmosphere is always relaxed, you won't feel rushed, and you won't feel like you can't ask a question.
