Full description
Explore the Ford Motor Company’s first purpose-built factory. Built in 1904 the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is the birthplace of the Ford Model T car. The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant has been designated as an official US National Historic Landmark and is recognized as one of the world's most significant automotive heritage sites.
Your entry ticket includes access to the facilities and a 90-minute guided factory tour. Begin your tour with watching a documentary film about the early automotive industry. Then, continue on through the 3 floors of the former Ford factory and see impressive iconic vehicles.
Take a pause and view the "Secret Experimental Room", accessible to only a handful of employees at the time. See where the Model T was designed and created, as well as cars that were converted for various tasks and industries. Finally, learn how cars were built during the early 1900s in Detroit.
