Full description
Take a memorable trip outside of Denver to wilderness around Mount Evans. See the world from the top of the mountain, enjoy a stop at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, Echo Lake, and Idaho Springs. Discover the Red Rocks Amphitheater; a musical venue surrounded by red sandstone rock formations. Check out the natural acoustics that have made this place a favorite of performers since 1941. Stop at scenic Echo Lake and enjoy crisp mountain waters surrounded by evergreen trees. Continue along the Mount Evans Scenic Byway all the way to the summit. Get some fantastic pictures from the top of one of the tallest mountains in the Rockies. Be on the lookout for Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep and mountain goats making their way around. Before heading back to Denver, see some local history in the city of Idaho Springs. In 1859, prospectors discovered gold at this location where the Chicago Creek meets Clear Creek.
