Pamukkale: Full Day Tour from Kusadası or Selcuk

2. Pamukkale: Full Day Tour from Kusadası or Selcuk

Enjoy a relaxing splash in the hot springs of Hierapolis, one of the sacred sites of Turkey, dating back thousands of years. They were used in Roman times because of their therapeutic powers. Also admire the white limestone terraces, known as travertines of Pamukkale.  Pamukkale has always been a very popular settlement, because of its hot springs, which are believed to have healing powers. Through this, the city became the center of a pagan cult in antiquity. Now it has transformed into an outstanding spa resort. The city was on the borders of the ancient states of Caria, Lycia and Phrygia and had a mixed population. Citizens were usually involved in the wool and textile industry. Its beautiful terraces were formed by running warm spring water. The temperature is around 35 C, containing calcium bicarbonate. When the water loses its carbon dioxide it leaves limestone deposits. These reveal themselves with different colours and shapes in the form of terraces with pools, overhanging surfaces and fascinating stalactite formations. Pamukkale takes its name from these formations.

What people are saying about Denizli Province

A wonderful experience, it was a very complete tour. Super recommended! You don't have to worry about anything, they take care of everything! The pick-up at the hotel was very punctual, when we left the airport it was waiting for us, Ephesus is a divine place, lunch on the first day was very delicious and varied, the Deger Guide, super friendly and attentive, explains very well and always He made sure we were comfortable. At the end of the tour, he dropped us off at the hotel – which was very clean and comfortable, with such a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea. The next day – They picked us up at the agreed time, our second Guide, Super dear and with a lot of knowledge and was also attentive at all times, my mom was super happy. In Pamukkale, we did the tour, our Guide gave us the time we would meet and also gave us his phone, one of the companions was a bit inconsiderate, he took more than an hour than agreed, It seemed disrespectful to him Guide and with us.

We love the tour. Everything was fulfilled to the letter. Our guide speaks perfect Spanish, and showed a lot of knowledge what he shared with us. The hotel facing the sea, at night in Kusadasi was a pleasant surprise, the night view of the bay. And the company also helped us to make our trip to Capadoccia. We all loved it. Transportation in luxury vans. The only bad thing (and repetitive in all tours of the world), is that they make you waste time in shopping places, which are not historical and they want to force you.

Super recommend! 10/10 Really Amazing. Everything was planned really well and coordinated perfectly. We had so much fun and learned a huge amount of knowlege of Ephesus and Pamukkale - Thanks to Emray. Our Amazing tour guide!!
