Da Nang - Half-Day Museums and Bridges Tour

3. Da Nang - Half-Day Museums and Bridges Tour

Da Nang is not only famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, but also for its bridges and museums. Choose from a shared or private experience and start your day with hotel pickup to visit Ho Chi Minh Museum. It features a replica of President Ho’s home in Hanoi with a fishpond, a house on stilts, its garden and other relics. It's all very genuine and feels as though 'Uncle Ho' is still there. Next is the Museum of the Fifth Military Zone, which has a lot of large war equipment including aircraft and tanks that were captured in the French and American wars by the soldiers of the Fifth Military Division. Leaving these museums, continue to the Cham Museum. With their roots dating back as far as 192 AD, Vietnam's indigenous Cham people lived an Indian way of life in both culture and language. The Cham Museum in Da Nang is dedicated to this period and the Champa existence which began predominantly in the coastal areas of Vietnam. Housing the largest exhibition of Cham sculpture in the world, the museum displays almost 300 terracotta and stone works of art ranging from the 7th to the 15th centuries. The next museum is Dong Dinh Museum. The museum is a beautiful and peaceful place to see wonderful works of art and valuable antiques. The owner of the museum is the commendable Artist, Doan Huy Giao who has spent more than 30 years collecting artifacts from across the country and another 10 years on building his privately-owned museum, which is the first of its kind in the central region. The last stop is Dragon Bridge, a very unique and modern bridge that crosses the Han River from the Bach Dang traffic circle. It provides the shortest road link from Da Nang International Airport to the other main roads in Da Nang city and a direct route to My Khe and Non Nuoc Beach on the eastern edge of the city. The bridge was designed and built in the shape of a dragon which spectacularly breathes fire every Saturday and Sunday night. Then, head to Thuan Phuoc Bridge at Tien Sa Port, another wonderful bridge in Da Nang City.

Hue (pronounced ‘hway’) was the capital city of Vietnam where the Nguyen dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945. Hue owes its charm partly to its location on the Perfume River. This location is also the destination of palaces, pagodas, tombs, temples, culture, and cuisine, as well as history and heartbreak — as such, the city is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site status. This private excursion gives you an opportunity to explore not only the Imperial Citadel of Hue, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Perfume River but also a chance to meet local people in a rural village. Your tour guide will pick up you at your hotel and upon arrival in Hue, you will visit locations and sites such as Haivan Pass, Langco Bay, the Khai Dinh Tomb, the Minh Mang Tomb and the Conical Hat Making Making Village. After having lunch, you will visit the Royal Citadel, the Forbidden City, Hue Royal Museum, and the seven-story Thien Mu Pagoda on the riverbank. Professional tour with an excellent driver.

Superbly organised tour with hotel pick up and numerous stops along the way by the driver. He gave us insight into every place we stopped and ensured we had loads of time to wander through all the amazing sites. when travelling with luggage this is the best way to see the Hai Van Pass in all its beauty. Would highly recommend.

There was a quick response to my requests. The local agency was flexible and reachable. Very helpful. The driver was kind and adapt the timings according to our needs.

A lovely way to transfer - you did it at your own pace and got to spend your own amount of time at the stops (within reason)
