It’ was really a nice experience. The staff were really friendly. Maybe i would like stay more time to swim and the quality of food can be improved because for 130€, we deserve more than vegetables salade and pasta with canned tuna.

It was a little confusing in the beginning. We were picked up on the bus and just dropped at the port with zero explanation on what to do and where to go. We were all herded to a massive line and had to figure out what to do next. Once we were on board, about half way into the boat ride they announced what the options were when you arrived in Santorini. It’s a rushed day to see Santorini and you don’t have a lot of time but it works if you just want a quick trip to experience the island.
Tour through Akrotiri, a settlement on Santorini that was covered in ash in 1500 BC, on a 2-hour guided tour. During your tour, follow your guide through the city to see how it was organized. Hear about the tragic events that buried the city after a volcanic eruption, and learn why this contributed to it being well-preserved. Discover the way people lived 4,000 years ago as you stroll past private houses and public buildings and observe signs of a sophisticated infrastructure. You will also see some of the famous artwork, including pottery, furniture, and frescoes from the time, and find out about the other works stored at a nearby museum.
Georgia helped us understand exactly what we were seeing and how things went together.
Meet your guide, a licensed archaeologist, at the entrance of Akrotiri Prehistoric City. Get assistance in buying the entry ticket and embark together with a group on a guided tour through Akrotiri Prehistoric City. In the 16th century BC, a volcanic eruption destroyed all life on the island. Most of it collapsed beneath the waves and remained undiscovered until the excavations began in 1967, led by Professor Spyros Marintos. He uncovered the evidence of a city with houses, streets, squares and workshops, all of which had been covered under a thick blanket of pumice for almost 3,500 years. Marvel at the well-preserved buildings and passageway in the excavated area. See the beautiful pottery, the roads, and squares of a city 3,500 years old. Explore the two and three-story houses, which were once decorated with wall paintings and get an insight into the ancient civilization of Santori...
Our tour guide was very informative and receptive to our questions and we really enjoyed it. Though wasn’t aware that our group would be split and that we’d need to wait whilst the other group (different language) went ahead. It would have been fine but the gift shop wasn’t open and we had to sit at the cafe (not the cheapest) but was only the place properly shaded. All of that would be fine but would have been nice to have had this confirmed when we booked.
