After being picked up from your hotel, cross the outskirts of Bogotá and travel for 90 minutes to Fusagasugá. Stop to stretch your legs and take pictures of Tequendama waterfall before arriving at a lush Coloma coffee farm. Upon arrival, learn about the history of the farm and the village. Dress up with a traditional hat and basket to harvest the coffee beans before discovering the complete process of production, from seed to cup. Begin the tour in the coffee seedbed, where the beans are sowed and cultivated. Wander through a Arabica coffee plantation to see many of the local varieties of coffee. If its harvesting season, you will be able to help pick the best beans. See where each coffee bean is washed, pulped, dried, and hand-picked. Make your way to the thresher before moving to the critical final step, the roasting of the coffee. Uncover this artisanal process which gives the coffee its color, aroma, and flavor. End the tour with a coffee tasting experience. Receive a pack of coffee as a gift and try a tasty liquor made with the beans before having the chance to buy some products at the shop. Before returning to the Bogotá, there will still be time for one more stop at a local market for a tasting of exotic fruits from Colombia.

Explore one of the Caribbean's top destinations, full of wonderful beaches, snorkelling opportunities and history, in Cartagena's surrounding islands. Get deeply acquainted with the former colonial port turned touristic hub with an extensive tour of its most iconic locations. Begin early in the morning, at 7:30 am, leaving from the hotel area in Bocagrande or Laguito, as well as the northern part of Cartagena. Rendezvous with your guide for the tour at the Pegasus Pier, where a sport boat will be waiting to take you sailing across the entire Bay of Cartagena. Join us on our Coffee Farm experience as we set out from the center of the city and head an hour and a half deeper into the mountains of Bogotá! We will start the day by enjoying a traditional Colombian breakfast together and then go to meet our local farmers. We will discuss what it means to be an organic coffee farm and what the daily tasks of a farmer look like. Walk around the farm and take in the more than 8,000 coffee plants. We’ll learn how to hand-pick coffee and process it, and then afterward we will enjoy a delicious cup of coffee prepared in a unique way. If the weather and season permit, we will even get to plant our own coffee! We wrap up the tour with local cuisine for lunch and began the trip back to the city, making brief stops to take pictures of the Paramos ecosystems and the picturesque Bogotá city skyline. Total duration: 7-8 hours.

Head to the countryside from Bogotá on a 10-hour excursion to Zipaquirá. Discover the architectural achievements of architect Roswell Garavito Pearl and learn about history of salt exploitation in Colombia on a tour of the Salt Cathedral. Enjoy a typical Colombian meal at a local restaurant. See Independence Square, lovely colonial houses and the old church before continuing on to Lake Guatavitá. Take a short guided hike, admire the scenic landscape and discover the birthplace of the El Dorado legend. Take in views of the Tomine Reservoir before visiting the colonial town of Guatavitá. On the return trip to Bogotá stop at La Calera viewpoint for panoramic views of the city.

A two-hour drive from busy Bogotá there is a lake synonymous with the legend of El Dorado and a whole town submerged beneath it. Today you will not find the city of legend, but a place rich with colonial history and indigenous mythologies. Join this day trip to New Guatavita and learn why the original town was flooded. Then, go on a short hike to the lake and discover what this unique ecosystem has to offer. On the shores of the lake, learn with the local expert about the old indigenous traditions that gave this lake its renown and the possible reasons behind the wonderous legend. On your way back, you can choose to enjoy a traditional lunch with a wonderful view of the neighboring water reservoir before visiting the town’s artisanal market. Finally, take in one last look and you will be on your way back to Bogotá.

This amazing trip will start at 08:00 with a pick-up from your hotel or accommodation. After around an hour, you will arrive to the highest waterfall at 590 meters. On the way to La Chorrera, you will see another waterfall known as El Chiflon, smaller but not less beautiful, it will allow you to go under its mantle to observe an incredible rainbow that forms from its drop. Then, you will enter through stone paths which you can climb, providing you with a touch of adventure to your journey. You will go through a fog forest, see palms and even, the wish tree. Finally in La Chorrera, experience the certainty of being small under the imposing fall of the 6th highest waterfall in South America.

Head out of Bogotá into the great outdoors on this 8-hour excursion to the Chicaque cloud forest. You’ll be picked up at your hotel for the drive to the natural park. Enjoy walks along the ecological trails and take part in other activities that interest you, while the driver waits. At the end of the designated time you’ll be transferred back to your hotel. From pick up to drop off is a total of 8 hours. The park’s 9 trails are quite well marked, so a guide isn’t necessary to enjoy a day of hiking. Horseback riding and bird watching are also available at additional cost. There’s a restaurant where you can stop for a meal and take in great mountain views. You’ll find a variety of birds, some of which are endangered. In particular, 15 species of hummingbirds have been spotted. Twenty species of mammals have been recorded and to date, 630 plant species have been identified.
