Full description
Visit the former Nazi concentration camps at Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau on this 7-hour trip from Krakow. By June 1940, Jews and over 700 political criminals had been sent to Auschwitz and the atrocities had begun. Birkenau was built by Auschwitz prisoners and by October 1941 was used as an extermination camp. Between 1 and 1.5 million were killed, and approximately 90 percent of those killed were Jews. Before Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated in January 1945, the SS attempted to blow up the camp and destroy the documentation. They were only partially successful, and the Polish government decided to restore the site as a memorial to the victims.

I recommend this agency with pleasure, went to Auschwitz with a pick-up service at the hotel. Punctual, smiling and polite driver. The guide Agnieszka is a professional who is also in love with him. In addition to a fairly large amount of history, she answered a million questions from our group. Thank you and keep it up!

We enjoyed the trip very much. A small group, and transport by a nice air-conditioned bus with a very nice driver (whom we sincerely greet :)) Our guide also showed us very professionally around the camp. The only downside is the pace at the Auschwitz museum, we quickly move from one room to another without a closer look and a moment for reflection, but I understand that it must be like this, because the trip is chasing a trip there;) for sure, next time we visit Krakow, we will also use the company Krakow Direct

Definitely not an easy tour to do but definitely a very important one. Really well organised tour and our tour guide/driver Michael was amazing. He was very informative and he even took us to an extra spot (one of the train stations used by the Germans) on our way to Auschwitz.
