From Galway: Cliffs of Moher and The Burren Bus Tour

1. From Galway: Cliffs of Moher and The Burren Bus Tour

Get back to nature on an amazing day trip by coach from Galway to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. Listen to the history of Galway and the surrounding area as you journey through the windswept landscapes of Ireland’s limestone terrain. Hop aboard a comfortable and airconditioned coach at a centrally-located meeting point in Galway. Visit Dunguaire Castle to see the former residence of the King of Connacht. Explore the underground caves at Aillwee Cave, or relax and grab a coffee at the café.  Continue over Corkscrew Hill to arrive at the stunning Cliffs of Moher, where you will have 1.5 hours to explore at your own leisure. Head up to see the colony of seabirds on the cliffs on your own.  Stop in Doolin where you can purchase a bite to eat before traveling back to your meeting point in Galway along the Wild Atlantic Way.

From Cork: Guided Full-Day West Cork to Mizen Head Tour

2. From Cork: Guided Full-Day West Cork to Mizen Head Tour

Immerse yourself in Irish culture on this day trip filled with fantastic photo opportunities. Starting in the historic city of Cork, travel by coach to Ireland’s most southwesterly point and view the dramatic cliff scenery of Mizen Head. As you drive through picturesque villages and towns, expect to see some awe-inspiring scenery as Ireland shows off its spectacular landscape. From the meeting point in Cork, travel first to Gougane Barra, home to Ireland's oldest National Forest Park and famous for St. Finbarr's Oratory, its stunning 19th-century church. Enjoy panoramic views of where the River Lee rises. Then, wander through Bantry, one of West Cork's most vibrant market towns, and do some shopping or sit down to a traditional cup of Irish tea and perhaps a scone. The next part of the journey takes you to Mizen Head, Ireland’s most southwesterly point — the edge of Europe and a signature key discovery point on the Wild Atlantic Way. Admire the cliffs of Mizen Head that rise high above the Atlantic Ocean, where the currents meet and the waves from the Atlantic crash into land. Before returning to Cork city, discover Clonakilty, an iconic Irish town. Visit a museum, an Irish pub for a pint of Murphy's, or simply wander the colorful streets. You'll return to the city of Cork in the evening, where you'll be dropped off at the original meeting point.

What people are saying about County Donegal

This is a really great tour! You get a lot in for 1 day. *BE CAREFUL* though if you get motion sickness even relatively easily! This would be a problem for ANY bus tour you take over less forgiving terrain, not just this one, but if you're prone to getting sick in a simple car ride, it is 10x worse on a bus. Fortunately, it was a slow day when I took the tour, so there were only a handful of other people on the bus I was on to witness this; unfortunately, I threw up on two separate occasions from getting so sick (I went to the back and had a bag ready the second time). The tour guide, though--whose name I regrettably forget since I waited several months to review this--was so chill about it it was insane. Due to the small group, we had a bit of extra time, so he also made a special stop along the road to visit a sweet local donkey and we got to feed it an apple. 5 stars for the tour but extra stars for the tour guide.

this tour exceeded all expectations. the cliffs were breathtaking and obviously worth the trip, but every other stop the bus made, from the castle to the impromptu coastal stop was so beautiful and worthwhile. our driver John was incredibly kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and hysterical! we would recommend to anyone.

Great trip. Mizen head is wonderful. Amazing place. Not to be missed. Plenty to see on the way there and back. Guide Michael was making a great effort to make our bus trip interesting with factual information as well as jokes and personal comments.

Viagem muito agradável em óptimo autocarro. Guia com imenso conhecimento sobre todas as atractividades ao longo do tour!!

John the tour guide was very knowledgeable, personal and approachable.
