Dublin: Cliffs of Moher, Kilmacduagh Abbey & Galway Day Tour

1. Dublin: Cliffs of Moher, Kilmacduagh Abbey & Galway Day Tour

Embark on a guided day trip to discover the iconic Cliffs of Moher by bus. Visit Galway and its stunning surrounding landscape and see famous landmarks, including Dunguaire Castle and Kilmacduagh Monastery. Depart Dublin at 6:45 AM and journey through the flat open plain of the Curragh. Pass the Irish National Stud thoroughbred horse breeding facility as your guide shares a wealth of history and information. Head to the ruins of Kilmacduagh Monastery and its roundhouse—unique for the way it leans over by more than 2 feet. Spend 15-20 minutes here. Then, arrive at the Cliffs of Moher for a view of the Atlantic Ocean and explore on your own for 2 hours. Go to the visitor's center for the interactive Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience with a large multimedia screen displaying a bird's-eye view from the cliffs, and a video from the underwater caves. Next, discover the lunar landscapes of The Burren with a 15–20-minute visit and hear about the many secrets of this atypical landscape, home to the warmest ground temperature in Ireland. Arrive in the city of Galway, where you will have around 1 hour to explore on your own. Discover its old-world charm on cobblestone streets that evoke an authentic Ireland of times gone by. Then drive along the coastal route of the Wild Atlantic Way to Kinvara, passing Dunguaire Castle and the 12 Bens mountain range along the way. Return to Dublin and get dropped off at the meeting point at around 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Inis Mor Island and Cliffs of Moher by Ferry from Doolin

2. Inis Mor Island and Cliffs of Moher by Ferry from Doolin

Have the opportunity to enjoy the Island of Inis Mór and even stay the night if you wish. Inis Mór (Inishmore) is the largest and most traveled to of the Aran Islands. Its name means Big Island and has a population of around 900. The ferry journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. You may choose any day to return and after your return to Doolin Pier, you will then stay on board for the Cliffs of Moher cruise. Or, if you would like to use your Cliffs of Moher ferry pass another day, that is fine too. You will receive a separate ticket for the Cliffs of Moher Cruise to be used on another day.  The ferry will circle back passing An Branán Mór, the great sea stack, which is home to Ireland’s largest mainland nesting bird colony. The great sea stack plays host to thousands of seabirds making it their summer home. The ferry will get you up close to view birds such as puffins, guillemots, and razorbills. Along the journey back to Doolin Pier, you will pass the sea cave from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the famous surfing spot Aill na Searrach, where the Aileen wave is caught. This 1-hour journey along the cliffs provides many fantastic photograph opportunities and is never the same experience twice.

This tour was worth every penny! It was a long drive but I didn't mind it one bit. The tour guide gives an amazing run-down of Irish history and is very charismatic too. You get to enjoy the beautiful scenery from the bus and als from getting off the bus and walking around. We had great weather so seeing and walking up the Cliffs was grand. We got plenty of time to enjoy each stop. Our tour guide Luke was very punctual, knowledgeable and charismatic. It was never a dull moment with him on the bus. All in all this was an amazing experience and I couldn't recommend it enough! Thank you Luke and Matko for being amazing. If I ever find myself back in Ireland I will for sure book another tour with you guys!!

Thank you Luke and Matko!! Had the best time on my trip! Luke shared many interesting stories, historic knowledge and fun anecdotes about Ireland and the Landmarks and County’s we passed on our journey, as well as recommendations and insider tips. Matko got us everywhere safe and sound, and always on time. Both were the best Tourguides one could wish for. Overall it was a great experience and I would truly recommend it to everyone wanting to explore more of Ireland.

the tour was awesome! The sites we went to see were stunning and Constanta was an excellent tour guide. She even took the time to answer some questions. Gordon was a great driver (and he didn’t hit the kissing wall-you’ll have to take the tour to understand :) ) Wifi on the bus worked most of the time. They even have chargers to plug in your phone. I would definitely recommend taking this tour with this great company.

One of the best tours I ever had, brought my parents along with me and the tour guide and driver were so accommodating. to our requests. We left on time and arrived on time, enough time to cover all the spots. Will definitely use their service again. Absolutely recommended for anyone who needs to explore Ireland.

Great coach, Luke was awesome, know a lot about the history of Ireland and areas around the attractions. Matko really good in those narrow roads. Amazing crack with them. Really recommend their tour. I had already another tour with them to giant causeway, and now cliffs. Can't wait for the next.
