Full description

Explore the history of Cordoba on a guided walking tour of its main monuments. Starting from the historic heart of the city, discover the Córdoba Synagogue, Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, Judería de Cordoba, and more.

Departing from the Monument to the Lovers, visit the Synagogue, where the main door is profusely decorated with Mudejar plasterwork, and three small balconies form a trefoil archway with inscriptions from the psalms.

Stroll through the complex network of small streets that make up the historic Jewish Quarter, enjoying the typical Andalusian flavor, and stop in decorative squares and streets to take in the sights.

Round of your tour at the Great Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, where the mixture of architectural styles reveals nine centuries of Cordoba history.

Go inside to see the labyrinth of beautiful columns, double arcades, and horseshoe arches. Discover how a Catholic cathedral was constructed inside the Islamic mosque, with Byzantine mosaics crafted from marble.

At the end of the trip, your guide will be happy to point you in the direction of local restaurants and taverns if you want to sample some authentic Andalusian tapas (cost not included).

Extremely informative and interesting guided tour. The guide was both knowledgeable on the historical sequence and construction of the Mosque-Cathedral and added a very interesting personal aspect with his own family experience regarding the Cordoba Jewish Quarter. Highly recommended!!

The group was only small and the guide was informative and very passionate about his town! Was annoying that our group had to wait over 15 mins for another tour group to meet up with ours before we could go into the mosque-cathedral. The woman who seemed to be in over-all charge of the tours fluffed around between groups but never informed us as to why we were just standing around waiting for who knew what! Our guide was trying to get things moving along but to no avail.

Definitely would recommend! Our tour guide, Angel, was knowledgeable, friendly and funny! There was a minor hiccup in the middle of the tour where we stood around for quite a while waiting in the courtyard of the mezquita (I believe they were short on guides and Angel had to fill in for one of the Spanish tours?), which is the only reason it wasn't 5 stars for us. Otherwise, the history was fascinating and we had a good time.
