Full description

Hold on tight for an adrenaline-packed, white-knuckle jet boat ride along 7 km of the scenic, untouched Coromandel Coast, beaches, islands, and secluded coves. Hit this one-of-a-kind coastline at full blast with no shortage of spins, drifts, and speed.

After meeting staff near the water at Whitianga Wharf, gear up with included life jackets before getting on the boat (ponchos are also included in the winter months).

Then, set out on a short but sweet blast over to Cooks Beach hitting speeds of up to 80 km/h. Feel your heart pump as you experience wild spins and maneuvers.

End your ride back at the starting point in Whitianga, where you can conveniently reach nearby cafes, restaurants, and public toilets.

Meeting point

Head down the ramp to the floating jetty off Whitianga Wharf and straight to the jet boat. A Cathedral Cove Jet employee will check your details before assisting you onto the boat. If you are coming across via the Whitianga Ferry, you will need to allow extra travel time for this (at least 30 minutes). Street parking near the Whitianga Wharf is free for 2 hours, but it’s important you leave yourself enough time to find a parking spot, as they can be hard to find during peak times.

This was my family's first time on a jet boat & it was amazing I highly recommend it i'm sure you & your family will love it. The driver is absolutely kind & always makes sure the riders are safe & having fun he is awesome. My kids love the jet boat so much. I enjoyed everything about this activity It was really enjoyable.
