This 2-day tour provides you with the opportunity to discover the natural wonders of the Danube Delta. This is the 2nd-largest river delta in Europe and is comprised largely of wetlands and water, and intricate patterns of channels, marshes, small streams, and lakes. The Danube Delta is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is home to more than 300 species of birds and 45 species of fresh-water fish that inhabit its numerous lakes and marshes. You’ll have the chance to visit Tulcea, the ancient port city located on the Danube Delta, and enjoy a boating trip for bird watching or fishing. The city of Tulcea spreads over 7 hills and has been an important harbor since its founding in the 7th century B.C. It was later conquered by the Romans and rebuilt in their style. You’ll spend 1 night at a Danube Delta hotel or guest house. Itinerary Day 1: Bucharest – Constanta – Tulcea – Danube Delta Day 2: Danube Delta – Tulcea – Bucharest

From the pier, you will drive for about 90 minutes to Tulcea (depending on traffic), where you will board the little motor-boat to cruise the channels and canals into the Danube Delta. The wildlife of the Danube Delta counts more than 3000 species of animals and birds. Fish is also a richness of the delta. Lunch will be served on board or in a fishers’ village depending on the level of the water in order to save time and see more things.

Day 1. Arriving in the Delta Tour starts in the morning at 08:00 a.m. with private pick-up from your hotel. Head towards Dobrogea Region and cross the sparkling Danube on the way. Moment 1 – Danube Delta Museum Begin the Danube Delta discovery by visiting the Delta Museum in Tulcea city. This is the best place to learn about Delta history and formation, birds and fish species, and even human lifestyle in the delta villages. As a bonus, the museum features a great aquarium where you can see all the most important fishes that live in the Danube. Moment 2 – Boat tour Arrive in Murighiol village in Danube Delta and start the boat excursion from there. Take the chance to see numerous wild birds, luxurious vegetation, and sparkling lakes inside the Delta. This is of course a highlight of tour. At the end of a road, the Danube, the second largest river of the old continent builds upon its encounter with the Black Sea, well over 10,000 years, one of the most beautiful deltas in Europe and even in the world. Also known as one of the planet’s great wetlands, the water and dry streams that have formed here provide good living conditions for a large number of plant and animal species. At the end of the day, enjoy a night's accommodation in Murghiol. Day 2. Dobrogea Region In the morning after breakfast, head towards the southern part of Dobrogea, and reach Constanta City. Visit the Old Town of Constanta City, the Main Square, and see the Black Sea Riviera. Enjoy free time for relaxing walks in Constanta. Then, head back to Bucharest, crossing the Danube again, and the vast plains of Baragan. Arrive in Bucharest in the evening, with dropoff at your hotel.

Mamaia Beach - Overnight in Tulcea Moscheea Carol I: Carol I Mosque, located in Ovid Square area, is the main religious muslim edifice and one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of our land. The building started in 1910 at the initiative of King Carol I (which is why the building is named so) and was completed in 1913. The inauguration took place on 31st of May in the presence of the royal family and muslim representatives of Romania. Sharing a beautiful and unique mixture of Egyptian, Byzantine and Romanian architecture, Carol I Mosque is the first building in our country for whose construction reinforced concrete was used. A distinctive feature of the building is huge dome made of innovative materials listed above. Although many specific Muslim places of worship, is an architectural dome by Christian inspiration, more exactly, Byzantine. Mamaia Beach: Mamaia is one of the most popular destinations for a beach holiday in Romania. It is on the Black Sea and is an archetypical seaside resort. There are beaches to relax on, nice food and lots of entertainment, including an amusement park. Faleza Casino: Between 1880 and 1890, we hear of Cazin or Kursal as being a wooden building on the seashore, built on a location a few hundred meters away from the current one. Besides the ballroom, noticeable were the reading hall with French newspapers, a games hall, as well as a terrace. It is here that the tourists, the seamen, and the local elite met in the summer evenings to take part in the balls organised by the city hall on the tunes of the brass bands or on the music of the famous artists of the era. Day Two: Danube Delta Tour – we explore by boat the beautiful nature of Danube Delta - Back to Bucharest The waters of the Danube, which flow into the Black Sea, form the largest and best preserved of Europe's deltas. The Danube delta hosts over 300 species of birds as well as 45 freshwater fish species in its numerous lakes and marshes. The 580,000 hectare delta is home to massive amounts of waterbirds of all kinds, most notably pelicans of two species, herons, storks, cormorants and terns. It is a favourite staging area for passage migrants and also wintering grounds for masses of migrating waterbirds from the steppes, the boreal forests and the tundras further north. Here also lie some of Europe’s very few remaining grazed mosaic forest landscapes, the beautiful woodlands of Letea and Caraorman. Beavers are slowly making their return into the area, the area holds healthy populations of golden jackal while white-tailed eagles show a remarkable comeback.
