we've visited the site together with our 12 years old son and we were absolutely impressed by the amount of details and interested information we've got from the guides. Our son was captivated by the interesting stories told by our guides. They were very knowledgeable and well prepared to deliver not only historical accurate information but stories about the ancient world, their habits and living style. We really enjoyed out tour.
Very good tour. Only four of us in the group, as everywhere quieter at the moment. Nice friendly group including the guide. Definately need to wear walking shoes, and take bottle of water with you, where you can fill up for free at certain places. Our guide Sam, was very knowledgeable and was very happy to answer all of our questions. Excellent time to visit as not nearly so crowded as would normally be.
Had a great guide in Lara. As an experienced archaeologist and excellent communicator Lara was able to bring the roman period to life, and answer the many questions from our group with clarity and authority. Due to Covid and current archaeology restrictions the underground chambers part of the tour was limited in scope. However this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the tour.
It was such a horrid day, the rain was so relentless but our tour guide (Sebastian - If I'm remembering correctly) was a champion. Really knowledgable and had some great information to share with us and ensured we took our time going around and had all the details for each section. I honestly could not recommend him more for this tour - just hope you get better weather if you go.
Don’t waste your time searching/comparing other tours. Samuel was one of the best guide we have ever met! Extremely knowledgeable about several subjects. Time went by extremely quickly while listening to his explanations. I wish Samuel could have been our guide for all the sites we have visited during our time in Rome!
