  • Moab: Sound and Light Show with Dinner

    1. Moab: Sound and Light Show with Dinner

Begin the evening on the banks of the Colorado River, just 2 miles north of Moab, Utah. Savor a delicious cowboy-style Dutch oven dinner in a dining room overlooking the water. After dinner, climb aboard a flat-bottomed boat and begin your river adventure. A knowledgeable and entertaining guide will point out things of interest and ignite your imagination. Once darkness settles in, the formal part of the evening begins when 40,000 watts of natural light illuminate the canyon wall. Watch as lights, shadows, music, and narration make the stories of the canyon's formation, creation, and history come to life on the walls above the river - as learned from the early settlers of the area (the Catholic conquistadors, Native Americans, and Mormon pioneers). This Sound and Light Show is a not-to-be-missed unique experience and a great end to a perfect day in Moab.

Host was charming and funny. We thought the experience was wonderful. The sky was remarkable. Definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous time on our trip with our guide Ric Otero. He picked us up on time and took us on a fun and interesting tour of the back country of Canyonlands. We saw so many wonderful sights and his commentary and explanations of the various places were very insightful. Ric couldn’t have been any nicer and made our trip a memorable one that we will remember for a very long time. Absolutely wonderful adventure. Dinner was amazing and the cruise on the Colorado River was informative and relaxing. The best unplanned part was seeing a full double rainbow as we departed at the end of a rainstorm.

This was a nice, genial float down the Colorado River along SR 128. The geology was spectacular, guide was incredibly knowledgeable, and the weather was great.
