This tour was AMAZING. It made seeing several small villages easy and so much fun. We were the only ones on the tour that day, so we were able to take our time and go at our own pace. Didier was knowledgeable and friendly. It was like seeing a good friend's hometown. If you want to explore the Alsace region, this is the only way to go!

I really looked forward to going on this tour even though it rained all day. Simon was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable, funny, and a lot of fun to walk with around on this tour all day. His knowledge of the area was tremendous. Loved seeing the older area of Colmar, and the little villages of Eguisheim and Requewihr-very charming. My Favorite thing was walking on the old cobblestone pathways in Eguisheim and seeing the beautifully preserved old homes/buildings and hearing the wine growing/producing history of the area. We ended the day at the old Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle where we walked among the ancient well preserved walls and learned of it's history. Overall, even with rain, the day was very worth every penny we spent. And again, Simon did a terrific job teaching us of the history of the area.

What people are saying about Colmar

Our tour guide Didier collected us from our apartment at 9am sharp. This was the start of a great day. We were driven to 4 small towns and the architecture and sights of the towns brought us back to the 12th century. We went at our own pace and we were in no rush. We had lots of photo opportunities too!! The wine tasting was an experience too. You get to taste 5 different wines. You are under no obligation to buy any but with the prices being low we couldn't resist!! We had lunch around 1pm and Didier brought us to a typical Alsace restaurant for lunch. The prices were good and the food was excellent ( they have frogs legs on the menu too). Overall we had a great day, lots of photos and memories. I would recommend 100%.

Recommended! After we were picked up at our hotel on time by the guide, we first visited Riquewihr. Beautiful village. While walking through the small streets with ancient houses, you imagine yourself in another world. In Eguisheim we enjoyed a delicious lunch with the guide, a traditional stew. After lunch continue after the next pictures. In Kaysersberg we got to know the local winemakers. After a small tasting we were safely returned to our hotel. A great day!
