Our drop-off bus had to circle for more than 30 minutes before it was able to stop at the official place (in FRONT of the Corte Suprema di Cassazione). There were also delays at the port due to latecomers. Otherwise, a good trip with good AC on buses. Civitavecchia is just too damn far from downtown Rome. By the way, the meeting point in Civitavecchia is just outside the gates of the parking lot where the shuttle buses from particular cruise ships in port drop off--look for the dudes in yellow shirts. Someone will guide the groups to the relevant bus--their location is not necessarily obvious. Sequence: drop off those who paid for Vatican tours, stay on bus to next (final) top at drop-off point. As mentioned elsewhere, you can upgrade from simple transport to tours by on-the-bus payments.

To be honest it was a no frills trip we booked, which basically took us as close to the centre of Rome as possible and then took us back again several hours later. For its ability to meet this, I would definitely recommend this activity. The only downside we faced was that they were operating 2 activities at the same time and in the same coach, the other activity being a panoramic tour which other passengers had booked. My issue with this was that the staff on board the coach were incredibly pushy in trying to get other passengers to pay extra for the panoramic tour and pay for lunch too. Staff just would not take ‘No’ for an answer. Another passenger, who was actually on the Panoramic tour, told the staff member around 10 times that she did not want to have the lunch and the staff member still kept pushing about what great value for money it was and how amazing the food was.

this is a "Round-trip", which is fine if you are only wanting to view a few highlight spots and not tour the full Vatican City; the couch personnel were very informative and helped up to navigate and plan our day. We would have liked a 'One-Way' options since we choose to book additional tour(s) and return via train late that evening
