Become a real chocolatier at our museum and chocolate workshop, where our team will provide you with everything you need from cookware, ingredients, and recipes to craft the tastiest chocolate. No previous cooking experience is needed to guarantee you get the most out of this delectable opportunity. You will be spoilt with various flavors, smells, and tastings while you create 3 unique chocolate bars. With various professional tools, you will temper your chocolate to perfection and make the original "Xocolate" drink, the first chocolate drink as created by the ancient Aztecs. After the workshop, you will receive the official Chocolate Museum Vienna signed certificate, before being let free to visit the rest of the interactive chocolate museum. Here you can journey deep into the jungle, the homeland of the cocoa plant and learn about cocoa cultivation, while also seeing sculptures of famous historical figures made from pure chocolate.

Meeting point

From the U-Bahn station “Pilgramgasse,” it is only a 3-minute walk to Chocolate Museum Vienna. You can reach the station via green line U4 or take Bus 14A or 12A, which stops directly in front of the museum. The entrance door is on the corner of Schönbrunner Straße and Reinprechtsdorfer Straße.

Loved this activity, the Chocolate museum is included in the price and was interesting and informative with some fun exhibits for photographic opportunities! The chocolate workshop itself was great fun and being the only person participating that day ( off season in February) I was given personal attention by the young chocolatier , Nemo. I was able to make and decorate 3 bars of chocolate and given a cup of the most delicious hit chocolate while waiting for my chocolate bars to set. There is also a shop where you can buy various chocolate items and make up your own box of chocolates from a selection.

After a brief briefing, we started directly with the selection of the personal decoration for the chocolate. We were allowed to fill a plate of three shapes with chocolate (either milk or dark chocolate). Then decorate and put in the fridge. During the cooling time we were allowed to mix our own drinking chocolate. It tasted fantastic. The children who participated in the workshop were having fun.

Was super fun.

My 13-year-old niece and I had a lot of fun at the workshop. I can recommend the activity to anyone. Liquid chocolate is poured into a mold and can then be decorated with lots of ready-made treats (from grated coconut to gummy bears). Genascht may also be, and the adults had their fun. A total of 3 chocolate bars are produced, which you can then take with you. As the chocolate cools, cocoa is made and tasted while waiting.
