You have to pick up the space needle ticket fist and it will act as tickets for both the needle And the garden. The garden only allows entry once, so you cant go in and out. Picking up the Space needle ticket gives you a certain time frame Depending on when you pick it up. There is a new time frame for goers every hour on the 45 minute mark. So if you get there at 1:30 your ticket time frame will probably be for 1:45-2:45; unsure if is the 45 minute mark everyday. The elevators constantly go up and down so you don’t have to be there on tome nor stay the whole time. Both are pretty cool. Get to the garden early enough to see glass blowing demos at the outside portion of the gallery. They do it all day but don’t go so late you miss the last session.

Go to the Space Needle when it opens - less crowded. Take the time to read the panels going up to the elevator, it’s a great capsule of the engineering marvel of the Needle. Chihuly Glass is a very unique museum that you will not experience anywhere else in the country. The glass pieces are stunning. Don’t miss the videos of his different projects. They are very short but give you great insight into the artist and his works.

My 11-year-old granddaughter chose the Chihuly Garden as a birthday outing with the grandparents. We were all fascinated by the beautiful glasswork, especially my granddaughter. There are about six or seven indoor rooms with fabulous glass exhibits. There is a large sunny atrium with glass art at the ceiling. And finally there is an outdoor garden of glass artwork in the shadow of the iconic Space Needle.

pleasantly surprised by both indoor and outdoor Chihuly exhibitions! Space needle was great too of course, we went around sunset time which I can recommended for keen photographers!

We purchased tickets online and they were ready for us at the ticket counter.
