Begin your morning tour by climbing the 306 steps up to Doi Suthep Temple with your local guide. Bask in the golden rays of sunrise after conquering the staircase and take photos of the unrivaled view of the city of Chiang Mai.  Then, stand in the shadow of the golden Kruba Srivichai Monument, named after the Thai Buddhist monk and engineer of many temples and roads. Gain an insight into how the monks live and choose to make a merit (offering) with them.  Head to Wat Pha Lat, a hidden temple in the lush jungle. Admire the serene statues, shrines, and surrounding nature.  Wrap up your half-day tour with a stop at Wat Umong, a 700-year old temple built back in 1297. Explore the forest and underground tunnels. Our guide, Dany, was a wonderful selection. His English was good and he was willing to share his knowledge of the temples and local traditions, and talk about his life story, which deepened the experience overall. He also understood what our small group of 3 people really needed. His ability to take amazing Instagram-worthy photos and play along was awesome and patient. He was responsive to our questions and our vibe, which was varied from IG silly and then also serious and meditative. At the end, he took us to an amazing local place that only served Khoa Soi soup and it was the best we had on our trip.

Great tour. It was worth it to wake up at 4 am. I would do it again. Our guide and driver spoke really well english. Our guide as a lot of knowledge about the history of the temple and it was a really fun tour. I can recommend everyone to take the tour.

Our tour guide was super kind and informative, the activities we did were the following: first we went to the Temple Doi Suthep, we could visit the place without all the crowds and also avoid the hot weather. There we watched the sunset and also offered some goodies to the monks. Then we went to Wat Pha Lat temple, which is more calmly and more authentic to end we went to Wat Umong, impressive temple with a tunnel and beautiful decorations. I highly recommend it!
