Full description
"There is only one essential ingredient in a ghost story: death." So say Charlestonians Ed Macy and Geordie Buxton in their introduction to their book about the haunted streets of Charleston. By rambling through the oft-forgotten enclaves of the Holy City, the paranormal authors bring guests face to face with a group of orphans who haunt a dorm of a Charleston College, a Citadel cadet who haunts a local hotel, and an angelic spirit in a Freedman Methodist graveyard, to name just a few. We will hear tales of a bookstore phantom, notorious for rearranging books in perfect vertical stacks, and a gruesome 19th century amputation taking place in a medical student’s apartment. This tour is not for the faint-hearted! Based on historical events and specific details that are often lost in our general notion of ghosts, each haunting encounter will send chills down your spine.

If you love historically accurate storytelling this is tour is for you! The experience was honestly amazing. The way Geordi intertwines o ghost stories with historical facts of the era is superb. Makes the whole tour even more enjoyable. Plus Geordi was completely understanding and helpful with my mom who was in a electrical wheelchair. Highly recommended tour.

Did the Supernatural Charleston walking tour, I cannot say enough good things about this tour, it was amazing! Geordie was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide, and as it turns out an accomplished author. We toured an area of Charleston that, from what I gather, is not typical of most tours, and in turn leaned a lot about things we may never have sought out on our own. Our son really took in Geordie's lessons and tales and made sure to share them with anyone who would listen. I will definitely be booking another tour next time we are in Charleston! I really wish we had something like this in Pensacola to do in the meantime. Thanks for a great tour.

We had a great time on our ghost tour. I’ve taken both the walking tour and the ghost tour. Geordie was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable of the Charleston area and was pleasant to have as a guide. I highly recommend you take either of his tours. You will not be disappointed.
